1980
During the early 1980s, the construction industry was fraught with poor work standards. With the belief in their abilities to deliver high quality civil engineering works, Building Contracts Services Pte Ltd to provide waterproofing and fire protection services.
1985
Building sound external partnerships is a key factor that BCS believes has greatly contributed to her success. In 1985, BCS merged with Prokon, forming the current company – BCS-Prokon Contractors Pte Ltd. BCS’s strong existing partnership with WR Grace was established in the same year. Over the next few years, BCS-Prokon demonstrated the ability of a sturdy management team working in synergy to provide high work standards that outshined all their competitors. Many projects were won and completed successfully.
1998
The first breakthrough came in 1998 as Sato Kogyo awarded BCS a major waterproofing contract for MRT stations along the North-East Line. With adept planning skills and executional capabilities, supported by well-established partnerships with its customers and suppliers, BCS completed the project with immense success.
2006 to 2015
Between 2006 and 2015, BCS-Prokon focused its resources and built up an impressive track record of MRT projects with main contractors. This earned BCS-Prokon a reputation for its capabilities and was awarded the BCA financial grade of L5 in the waterproofing category.
2015 to 2017
BCS Myanmar was established in 2015 as a subsidiary company with a minority share with a Myanmese. Our first project with Shwe Taung Development was epoxy flooring to their BMW showroom, and subsequently in 2017, BCS-Prokon was engaged to work on waterproofing and epoxy works at Junction City Yangon.
Today
BCS-Prokon continues to invest in technologies such as a robotic system for its liquid spray waterproofing system, and continuously seeks new innovative ways and systems that offer productivity gains.
